Better ways to work with Visio
This Visio-related blog entry has some good tips for working with Visio, and even has a shortcut file that you can print and tape to your monitor.

I might add another zooming key to it:

Ctrl + W = Zoom back out to whole page view

Also, many of the keys are now incorrect for Visio 2002 and 2003. In particular, many that used to be Ctrl + Letter are now Ctrl + Shift + Letter. Some examples:

Send to Back = Ctrl + Shift + B
Bring to Front = Ctrl + Shift + F
Group = Ctrl + Shift + G
Ungroup = Ctrl + Shift + U

KB873298 - Toolbars that you customize are reset to use the default settings...
A new KB article on Microsoft Visio has been posted today, regarding custom toolbars and menus:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;873298

The problem is that some third-party apps register their add-on with Visio on startup to add menus and toolbars, and then reset the UI when Visio closes. This causes any custom toolbars that the user created to get blown away after Visio is closed.

We've encountered this issue many times in our custom Visio applications, and to work around it, we have started to use CommandBars instead of the old Visio UI object.

While CommandBars can be limiting (complex controls like drop-down list boxes are a pain), they seem to be the only way to prevent a user's UI changes from getting clobbered.
